Copy Trading — Setup Guide
1 — Requirements
- MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 on Windows (any broker, any account size — demo accounts work too)
- An active PRO subscription (this page: fxshop24.net/membership)
- Your FXShop24 email and password (the ones you use to log in on this website)
- Internet connection — a VPS near your broker is recommended but not required
2 — Download the Copy Client EA
Download the compiled client for your platform (PRO members only) — ready to use, no MetaEditor or compilation needed. The Full Package ZIP contains both clients plus the PDF manual:

3 — Install in MT4 / MT5
- Open MT4 and go to File → Open Data Folder
- Open the MQL4 → Experts folder (MT4) or MQL5 → Experts (MT5) and paste FX24CopyClient.ex4 (MT4) or FX24CopyClient.ex5 (MT5) there
- Restart MT4/MT5 (or right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator and press Refresh)
- Drag FX24CopyClient from the Navigator onto any chart (any symbol works — we suggest the chart of your main traded symbol, e.g. XAUUSD)
- In the Common tab enable Allow live trading, then press OK
4 — Connect your MT account
Copy Trading can follow up to 2 MT accounts per PRO membership. Connect your account in one of two ways:
- Automatic (easiest) — the first time your FX24 Copy Client EA logs in successfully, your MT account number is bound to your membership automatically. Nothing else to do.
- Manual — log in on this website and go to My Account → Copy Trading (fxshop24.net/my-account/fx-copy-trading/), click Add account and enter your MT account number (digits only, e.g. 12345678).
Make sure the account number shown in My Account → Copy Trading matches the account logged in on your MetaTrader — the EA only copies from accounts bound to your membership. You can view or remove your bound accounts there at any time.
5 — Configure & log in
Open the Inputs tab of the EA and set:

| InpLotsPer1000 | risk size, e.g. 0.03 = 0.03 lot per $1,000 of balance (lower it to reduce risk) |
| InpSymbolMap | only if your broker renames symbols, e.g. XAUUSD=GOLD or leave empty |
| InpEverySec | 30 (sync interval in seconds — keep default) |
Press OK. Make sure AutoTrading (MT4) or Algo Trading (MT5) in the toolbar is green.
FX24 client OK — balance synced. The EA now copies every trade automatically.6 — How lot sizes are copied
Position sizes are copied in proportion to your balance — the ratio between consecutive trades is always preserved:

You can make everything smaller or bigger anytime by changing InpLotsPer1000.
7 — Symbol names & brokers
- If your broker calls gold GOLD instead of XAUUSD, set InpSymbolMap = XAUUSD=GOLD
- Broker prefixes/suffixes (e.g. XAUUSD.pro) are handled automatically — just make sure the symbol is visible in your Market Watch
8 — Troubleshooting
